Air New Zealand has Announced New Plane Interiors
From April this year the new seating will be available on Air New Zealand flights.
The new Economy Sky Couch is a trio of Economy seats that together create a flexible space, an area to relax and stretch out in, or for children to use as a play area. It’s like having your very own couch on the plane.
In Premium Economy there will be the new Spaceseats. The seating area will be much roomier, with more space between you and your neighbours. One of the best features of this revolutionary new seat is that rather than just ‘going back’ when you recline, the seat also slides forward
The Spaceseats that run through the centre of the cabin have been designed for couples to share, whereas the window seats cater for those who prefer to keep to themselves during the flight.
You can choose from a fantastic selection of freshly prepared meals. If you get the munchies, you can order food from your in-flight entertainment touch screen.
In Business Premier make the most of the leather armchair and the separate ottoman – which doubles as a handy seat for visitors. The seat itself converts to lie completely flat. The thickness of the mattress has also been increased, so it’s now more luxurious than ever, bedding is provided to create a true bed experience.
The new seating will be available on the 777-300 aircraft and will be flying on selected services to and from London (via LA) from April 2011. It will be progressively rolled out until completed in 2012.
ET can offer special rates on Air New Zealand flights from London to Los Angeles. Fares start from; Economy £388 inc tax, Premium economy £2196 inc tax and Business class £4231 inc tax, all fares are subject to availability.
